TARJETA PARIS VISITE/ PARIS VISITE CARD

Whenever visiting a city there are some expenses that are not fixed and usually do not think on them, making us spend some more money than we thought. Among those expenses are transportation, either by subway, bus or train, is always cheaper to have a transport card, because every trip is cheaper. Transport in small towns can be cheap and not essential, but normally in bigger cities is not like that; that is the reason why some of them have created special cards for tourists.

The Paris Visite card is one of them and is very helpful when we visiting the city of light. The price for three days and all areas is almost 42 €.
Suitable for all city transports (except taxi) and also for short distance trains, so if you want to go to Disney or Versailles or simply the transport to any of the airports to downtown is nearly paid off. Moreover, the card includes discounts in some monuments, restaurants and entertainment. It is a personal card, so if we lose it and someone finds it is likely to preclude its use.

Have you ever used one of those cards?

How could it be otherwise our recommendation this month is about our hotel in Cappadocia.

The Local Cave House Hotel is located in the village of Göreme, which is the centre of Cappadocia and from where you can access most of the tourist sigths in the area.
This small cave hotel is a family hotel. The owner ,Harun, is a young man who is always on site ready to help with the arrangement, as bookings of the area tours, balloon flights, visit to the Turkish baths etc ...
The rooms are a mix of cave style and modern bathrooms (obviously not going to be like a cave). The hotel also has a swimming pool for hot summer months and a terrace with comfortable sofas.

Its situation is excellent because it is like 2 minutes away from the center, ensuring calm during the high season.
You only have to read the comments of other clients to see they feeling they have about the hotel.

If you are thinking on going to the Cappadocia by your own don't hesitate contacting with them.
You won't be sorry!

TIERRA DE GLACIARES/ AMONG GLACIERS

¿Habeis estado alguna vez alli? ¿Lo recomendariais?

The new museum about the glaciers is called Glaciarium. It is located in Glacier National Park (El Calafate), where we find the main glaciers of Patagonia and annually more than 300,000 tourists visit it.
The center's aim is to learn about the phenomenon of glaciers and transmit the effect of climate change on them.
Through different multimedia sources the exposure shows the process of formation and evolution of glaciers along its history, as well as 40 skeletons and many other reconstructions of animals that inhabited the area millions of years ago.
It also has a room devoted to the problem of climate change, in which visitors try to raise awareness of the effects of this problem. And another room dedicated to the history of Perito Francisco Moreno, the first explorer of Patagonia.
After completing the site visit and with all the information gathered is almost mandatory visiting the glaciers, with a specialized guide and good equipment that can be found easily in any hoteleles of El Calafate.

Have you ever been there? Would you recommend it?

REFLEXIONES POST VIAJE

Here we are again! After a few days on holidays in Turkey it's time to recover the daily life.
We come back with many wonderful moments in the country we have visited; above all its inhabitants, because although it is a very beautiful country with nice sigths to visit, the local people is what makes a destiny warmer and easier to visit.
When we decided to go to Turkey we knew almost nothing about the country. So our our limits were the budget and the number of days. As you could see here we used all we had to make an idea about the country and the main sights to visit.
We started the trip with this kind of fear of going to a country which language and people are unknown. Although we knew it was a really reliable country because a lot of people told us so. Fortunately everything was perfect, but for any kind of little problem we had there was always someome to help us.

Definitelly Turkey is a contry you should visit!
In the next days I'll tell you wich are the places we have visited because they are 100% advisable.
